PUBLIC NOTICE

            The Board of Trustees of Mifflin Twp., Ashland County shall receive bids until 6:00 p.m. on July 20th, 2026 at the home of Mifflin Twp. Fiscal Officer, Shannon Schaub, 1167 County Rd 30A, Ashland, Ohio 44805-9406, to be opened at the August 3rd Board of Trustees Meeting at the Mifflin Volunteer Fire Station, in the Village of Mifflin, for the purpose of chip & sealing the township roads by evenly applying road oil and limestone the entire width with one pass 20 foot width, or as directed by the Twp. Trustees. To apply approximately 35,000 gallons (more or less) of MC-3000 Road Oil to be applied to approximately 13 miles of road.  The township will provide stone and traffic control as needed.  The bidder will supply the road oil and applicator, stone spreader, loading & trucking of stone and a multi wheeled roller. The bid notice shall be marked “Chip & Seal” on the envelope.    

            The successful bidder shall furnish weight slips with each load of road oil used and furnish a bid bond or certified check in the amount of 5% of the bid to insure that the bidder will comply with the township’s request.  The successful bidder shall also provide a Certificate of Insurance to the township.

            The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all bids and accept the bid in the best interest of Mifflin Township.

​NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE BUDGET. Rev. Code. Sec 5705.30.  Notice is hereby given that on the 13th day of July, 2025, at 6 o'clock P.M., a public hearing will be held on the Budget prepared by the Mifflin Township Trustees of Ashland County Ohio, for the next succeeding fiscal year ending December 31st, 2027. Such hearing will be held at the Fire Station located at 114 South Ohio Street.

The end of year meeting will be held at 9:00 am at the Mifflin Township Fire Department, December 29th. Notice is hereby given that on January 5th, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at the Mifflin Township Fire Department, a public hearing will be held for the the budget prepared by the Trustees of Mifflin Township, Ashland County, Ohio, for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2026. The January 5, 2026 Meeting will also serve as the Organizational Meeting for 2026.
